TryHackMe is excited to announce the launch of our new Assignments area for users in Business and Education seats.
As the first user-centric feature we have released, this is a game-changing update for all users in a B2B dashboard and the first of many exciting new updates to come.
What is the End User Assignments page?
As a new area for Business and Education users to view their Assignments, the new page shows all of your existing Assignments, including links to the rooms, deadline dates and status tracking.
Previously, when users were given Assignments by their Managers and Tutors there was nowhere to view or keep track of what Assignments you had in progress. Instead, users were required to keep track of the email notification sent to them with each Assignment. This led to poor Assignment completion rates amongst users and frustration when trying to organise their training.
With the new product area launching exclusively for Business and Education users today, they will no longer have to go searching their mailboxes for Assignment links and to check deadline dates.
Now, users can simply navigate to their Assignments page (underneath the ‘Learn’ tab) to view all of their existing and past Assignments in one place. Within the page, users will be able to track:
- Each Assignment given to them, with a direct link to the room/content assigned
- The deadline date for each assignment
- Their progress on the Assignment
- The current status of each Assignment from ‘Not Started’, ‘In Progress’, ‘Due Soon’, ‘Overdue’ & ‘Complete’.
Users can filter their Assignments based on status for effortless organisation, helping them to keep on top of their workloads.

Frequently asked questions
Q: There is a column for ‘Assignment type’, does that mean you can assign Learning Paths and Modules now too?
A: Not yet, but this is currently in development and coming soon. We added the column now in preparation for this, so for the time being, it will just show as ‘Room’ for all Assignments.
Q: Will all previous assignments show in the table, including ones past the deadline?
A: Yes, all of your past assignments will be displayed in the table. Assignments past their deadline date are locked, but any previous assignments with no deadline date set will have the relevant link to the room.
Q: Is it available in dark mode?
A: Dark mode is not yet available on TryHackMe. However, it is currently in development and will be available across the entire platform in 2024.
Q: How can I provide feedback or report issues related to the new Assignments page?
A: We encourage users to share their feedback through our support channels or by using the feedback option within the profile menu. Our team values user input and will actively address any reported issues.
Q: I’m not on a Business or Education plan, can I set myself Assignments?
A: The Assignments feature is only available on the Business and Education plan. Refer TryHackMe to your manager or tutor and ask them to get in touch with us at [email protected] for a detailed walkthrough of all the benefits the Business and Education plans offer.
