This month, the TryHackMe team headed out to the beautiful island of Mallorca for our annual company retreat, for a unique blend of professional development, relaxation, and unforgettable team-building experiences!
The TryHackMe retreat is a fully funded employee benefit that includes a luxurious hotel stay, exciting team-building activities, and a fantastic opportunity to connect with the wider team beyond the confines of a screen.
This year's company retreat united 50 employees (out of our workforce of 80!) including those from Software Engineering, Content Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Technical Support, plus more!

Why TryHackMe hosts an annual retreat
In a remote working world, our international team can be found in all corners of the globe. While we’re always fully connected through fortnightly team lunches, quarterly team-building activities, frequent socials, and departmental meet-ups, the TryHackMe retreat is a unique experience.
This incredible opportunity is specifically designed to help our hardworking employees take a break from their computer screens and indulge in a range of captivating workshops, exciting activities, and quality time under the warm sun.
Employees attending the retreat can finally meet face-to-face with colleagues to foster meaningful relationships and create memories that last a lifetime!
What did we get up to?
This year’s retreat saw the TryHackMe team visit the breathtaking island of Mallorca, offering beautiful landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich history, making it the perfect destination for our retreat.
Throughout the week, we enjoyed thought-provoking workshops, trust-building exercises, and ice-breaking games carefully designed to foster stronger connections and collaboration. During the afternoons, we took well-deserved breaks from the classroom to explore the natural beauty of Mallorca, with organised activities including cultural tours, treasure hunts, paintballing, quad biking, kayaking, and snorkelling. Followed by some very entertaining karaoke in the evenings!
Before heading home, we gathered for a memorable awards ceremony to celebrate the exceptional achievements and contributions, and to take the time to reflect on the week's experiences. It was an excellent opportunity for our team to relax, unwind, and connect on a more personal level.
TryHackMe's company-wide retreat is more than just a getaway; it’s a testament to the power of collaboration, teamwork, and growth. It has encouraged us to think outside the box, explore uncharted territories, and push our limits! We returned home as a more united, inspired, and skilled team, ready to continue our mission of making cyber security education accessible to all.
