IR Difficulties and Challenges

Incident Response (IR) teams and practitioners frequently face several common challenges within the Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) domain. These challenges often necessitate a nuanced and adaptive methodology to overcome and lead effective IR operations.

In this room, we will explore some of the prevalent difficulties IR teams often face and provide strategic guidance to overcome these challenges. Throughout this exploration, we will address critical components such as organisational culture, resource limitations, data visibility and storage retention, anti-forensics, and human error.
